Safer Internet Day 2019
Years 4 and 5 begin work with Staffordshire Police to promote online safety and anti-bullying within their local community of Kidsgrove.
In January, PSCO Colin Stepney approached Kidsgrove Primary having heard some awesome things about the work that the children are doing on online safety and anti-bullying. The school already has a team of qualified Junior Police Cadets so was a great choice as a partner to work on their latest community-based project. The PCSOs visited the children in school to talk about both online safety, anti-bullying and the dangers of gang-related activity. They were so impressed with the children's response that they have asked the children to design persuasive and informative posters that can be displayed to help with the education of the community. Winners of the competition will be announced soon but, in the meantime, have a look around the local area (and at Affinity Outlet Centre in Talke in particular) for our children's great work!
